Mommy's Home Office Remodel ...

Mommy recently redid her office to make it more peaceful looking. It is a converted walk-in closet turned into Mommy's office/studio that she does her professional writing from and also books the weddings she officiates as a non-denominational minister. Mommy repainted the walls white and wanted to keep with a softer palette. It is much more serene and a nice place for her to work without all the distraction of color. She uses an old farm table she found at an estate auction for her desk ... She also used Romantic White Linen Slipcovers and ruffled Linen Lampshades in her office/studio. Mommy also took an Old Bread Box, slapped on an old Glass Knob, and its perfect to hide the ugly stuff.

By the way, I think the old Bibles are a nice touch to Mommy's office now that she is an ordained non-denominational minister.

Exterior of Home ...

The home was built in 1920 and contains a full basement plus small attic. It also has an attached double garage plus a detached double garage that has been converted into a garden shed. It is located on a quarter acre lot with beautiful mature trees and a plush green lawn.

Shown below, a lovely arbor and bench was installed in 2007 before the winter snow came. Landscaping around it will be done to finish the overall park-like look to the back yard this spring 2010 ... The arbor and bench overlook the mini-vineyard Daddy has planted in the backyard, along with the vegetable and herb gardens.

Daddy has two grill so he can choose either Charcoal or Gas grilling options, or both depending how many people he is feeding.

The furniture Mommy originally got for her cottage in Napa moved with us to Iowa. This furniture has found a new home on the side patio off of the sun room breezeway. It makes a nice sitting area and BBQ area for outdoor family eating and relaxing.
